AC DRIVES - APPLICATION & MAINTENANCE (VFDs)
An In-depth Rapid Learning 3-Day Hands-On Workshop Seminar

Course Description and Objective:

This is a comprehensive course that provides the maintenance electrician or technician with a thorough working knowledge of AC drive systems. The course begins with AC drive Theory & Application which includes basic PWM drive theory along with how to identify a misapplied drive or motor. The second two days consist of technical information on how to identify, test, and replace major drive components. Drive replacement procedures and proper start-up and proper programming are covered and reinforced with hands-on programming of an Allen-Bradley AC drive.

This seminar is unique in that AC motor theory is covered along with information important to proper motor selection.

Avoiding common pitfalls is discussed throughout the seminar.

AC drives are also called
"variable frequency drives" or " VFDs"
