PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS
HARDWARE & PROGRAMMING
A 5-Day Intensive Hands-On PLC Workshop / Seminar

Course Objective and Description:

The objective of this course is to provide the student with a thorough introduction to PLC hardware and programming concepts. Each student will assemble a modular PLC, connect an operators' control station as inputs and a motor contactor and indicator pilot lamp light as digital outputs. Students will progress at their own pace as they use a laptop PC to program the PLC for actual operation. Analog signals with scaling concepts will be introduced. Upon completion of the seminar the student is expected to be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in input and output digital control loops. This course is not a sales course and is generic in nature with regards to PLC brand. Students leaving this course can attend, with confidence, various manufacturers' PLC programming schools. This seminar is 90% hands-on and enrollment is limited to 8 students.
